Little Piddle Problem- by Dexter

Dear furry friends,
Oh geesh, I am so embarrassed.  I do not even know where to start.  Lately, I have been having a bit of a problem.  A, um, piddle problem.  Let me explain.

Even though Mommy and Daddy were told us doxies are stubborn and hard to potty train, I have been doing really well for months now.  Mommy and Daddy have me on a pretty set schedule, and I never have accidents in my crate or on the floor.  But lately, something weird has been happening.

I, um, wow, there is no easy way to say this.  Lately, I get so happy to see Mommy and Daddy that I piddle a little on the floor.  It does not matter if I just went out to potty or what.  For instance, Daddy took me out at like 6:15 this morning.  When Mommy came home at 7, she opened the crate, and I was so happy to see her, I tinkled a little on her toes.  I was mortified.

I know this is not the most polite thing to talk about but I am at a loss dear friends.  What can I (or Mommy) do to stop this from happening?  Do any of you ever have this trouble?  Is this just a growth spurt I may be going through?  It has happened just a couple of times in the past, but this week it has happened two days in a row.  I do not want Mommy to get upset.  She says she doesn't get mad, that she knows I am just excited and not trying to actually potty inside.  But still, I want to make Mommy happy and proud of what a good dog I am, and it is hard to do that when you tinkle on her feet, at least I think so.  Is this something I will grow out of, or will I just be an excitable pee-er for the rest of my life?

I know Mommy loves me, and always will no matter what, but any advice is most appreciated!

Doggie kisses and tale wags,
Dexter

OoH Dexter, :(

Mom says maybe your mom should call da V-E-T and have you checked out, just to makes sure it is not a physical problem.

Please keeps us posted...'kay?

We used to do that, too! We still do if we get super duper excited!! Once we even (we'll use your word) "piddle"d a river on our great auntie. She was not so happy. haha! Anyhoo, we have pretty much grown out of it except for extreme cases of excitement.
